What LISA's Six-Track Press Play EP Brings After a Seoul Listening Party and Before Vegas
Six-track EP Press Play went live at midnight KST on 23 October 2026, after a Seoul listening party, with a Las Vegas residency to follow in November.

LISA released the solo EP Press Play at 12:00 a.m. KST on 23 October 2026, on online music platforms worldwide. According to a Yonhap report carried by Malay Mail, it is the first solo EP and the first release in one year and eight months. The record arrives alongside a collectible tie-in and a Las Vegas residency.
The full EP was premiered at a listening party in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, on 22 October, themed around a vintage Hollywood theatre, according to Sports Khan. The listening party premiered the full album before release for Korean fans. It followed “SaWaDiKa,” which Complex dates to 3 September and which was promoted through a teaser campaign under the phrase “HELLO SAWADIKA.” The rollout therefore moved from a single to the full set over about seven weeks.
Six Tracks and a Contested Lead Song
The EP contains six songs: “Tarantino,” “SaWaDiKa,” “V12,” “Cobra,” “Cut U Off” and “Sweat.” The pre-release order on Spotify, as listed by Complex, puts “SaWaDiKa” first and “Tarantino” fourth. Complex reports that the Spotify preview lists LISA alone on all six songs, and that no guest artists are named.
The reports differ on which track leads the set. Sports Khan calls “Tarantino” the title track. Malay Mail, carrying the Yonhap report, names it the lead track. Complex calls “SaWaDiKa” the lead single, and that track had already been released as a single in early September, ahead of the EP.
The music video for “Tarantino” shows LISA travelling through a hotel to deliver a letter to the director Quentin Tarantino, with action sequences along the way, according to Sports Khan. Complex says the track was announced on 14 October with red-envelope artwork and a teaser. Complex also lists its release date as 23 October and says the full song and its production credits are still forthcoming.
SaWaDiKa’s Credits, Views and Chart Run
“SaWaDiKa” is a stylised spelling of a Thai greeting that means hello, according to Complex. Complex, citing Apple Music, lists Thom Bridges and Ojivolta as personnel on the track and Kuk Harrell as vocal producer. LISA shares the composition and lyrics credit. Complex reports that full producer credits for the other five songs have not yet been released, and that the credits for “Tarantino” are still forthcoming.
According to Complex, the single’s video was directed by Bang Jae Yeob. Sports Khan says it was shot in Bangkok, which it describes as LISA’s hometown. Sports Khan reports that it passed 70.8 million YouTube views within 24 hours, a result it calls a personal best and the best YouTube debut of 2026. LISA also gave the first performance of “SaWaDiKa” at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, according to Sports Khan.
The single debuted at No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100, according to Complex, Malay Mail and Sports Khan. Soompi reports that it fell to No. 93 in its second week, making it LISA’s third solo song to spend more than one week on the chart.
Labels, the Sony Credit and an Ownership Claim
Complex names LLOUD and RCA Records as the labels behind the EP, and says LISA launched LLOUD in 2024. A six-track EP now sits inside a label arrangement that, according to Complex, gives LISA ownership of solo recordings. Only Complex reports that ownership point, and it has not been independently confirmed.
Sports Khan credits Sony Music Entertainment Korea on the article’s photos and names no other label or agency. The two reports therefore name different companies, and the official label credit for the EP is not set out in the reporting.
Complex lists 23 October as the release date, through LLOUD and RCA Records. That matches the 12:00 a.m. KST worldwide timing given in the Sports Khan report.
Where Press Play Sits in the Solo Catalogue
According to Malay Mail, the EP follows a gap of one year and eight months since LISA’s last release. The previous full-length album, Alter Ego, came out in February 2025. At the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, LISA won Best Pop for “Dream” from Alter Ego. Malay Mail calls it the first win in that category by an Asian solo artist, while Sports Khan calls it the first by a K-pop solo artist.
A documentary, Always Lalisa, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, Sports Khan reports. In interviews cited by Complex, LISA described the EP as following a path from roots to the present day on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In a Z100 interview dated 16 October, LISA indicated that some hip-hop direction carries into the rest of the EP and named Doja Cat and Rihanna as favourite hip-hop icons.
Complex also reports that in a 2022 Rolling Stone interview, the singer said people should know LISA is Thai. In a Vanity Fair interview, LISA said she wanted to explore more in her music and style and wanted people focused only on her work.
“A six-track EP now sits inside a label arrangement that, according to Complex, gives LISA ownership of solo recordings.”
A Hangerpack and Las Vegas Dates Around the Release
Complex reports an ESCO x LISA Hangerpack, with a 48-hour presale exclusive to Complex that began on 19 October. The wider retail launch came on 23 October, the day the EP was released. Each pack contains nine trading cards and one foil card, drawn from 50 subjects, with hand-signed autograph cards randomly inserted.
The Viva La Lisa residency takes place at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Complex lists six shows, on 12, 13 and 14 November and 27, 28 and 29 November 2026. The original four shows sold out in under ten minutes, and two dates were added. Hypebeast gives 30 September as the general on-sale date for the full run, through Ticketmaster.
Complex reports that Caesars describes LISA as the first K-pop artist to hold a Las Vegas residency. Hypebeast makes the same claim in its own voice, without naming a source. Sports Khan reports that LISA plans to meet fans around the world through a range of promotions for the EP. Across the reporting, the sequence runs from a Seoul listening party to worldwide release, a chart debut for the single, a retail tie-in and a Las Vegas residency.
Key Dates From Single to Residency
The dated sequence in the reporting starts with the single, which Complex gives a release date of 3 September. Tarantino was announced on 14 October with red-envelope artwork, according to Complex. An interview with Z100 is dated 16 October, and the hangerpack presale opened on 19 October.
The Seoul listening party took place on 22 October. The EP went live at 12:00 a.m. KST on 23 October, the same day the hangerpack moved to wider retail. Hypebeast gives 30 September as the general on-sale date for the Las Vegas residency, with the November shows following the EP release.
