The Finance Council

The Finance Council convenes senior finance professionals working in New York — investing, lending, advisory and corporate finance — for closed discussion of what is actually happening in their markets.

What members get

  • Closed sessions under agreed rules on attribution, so the discussion can be candid.
  • Briefings tied to our reporting, with the reporters present.
  • Introductions within the membership.
  • Early access to our events program.

What membership is not

Membership does not buy editorial coverage, a place on any list we publish, or influence over how we report on a member's firm. Our lists are selected by editors with no commercial involvement, and no place on any of them is for sale.

Nothing said in a closed session is published without the speaker's agreement. Equally, membership does not put a firm off limits — if we have a story about a member's organization, we will report it and put it to them first, exactly as we would for anyone else.

Who it is for

People with real decision-making responsibility in a finance role with a genuine New York presence. Membership is by application and is reviewed, because the value of the room depends entirely on who is in it.

Joining

Contact us with your firm, your role and what you would want from the membership. We will set out what it involves before anything is committed.
