The Founders Council is a membership network for people running companies they started in New York — a room of peers at a similar stage, convened by Manhattan Standard.

What members get

What membership is not

Membership does not buy editorial coverage. It does not buy a place on the Manhattan 100 or on any other list we publish. It does not buy favorable treatment in reporting, and it does not buy the removal of unfavourable reporting.

We state this plainly because paid membership tiers at other publications have been used exactly that way. Our list selection is handled by editors with no involvement from the commercial side, and no place on any list is available for purchase.

Who it is for

Founders of operating companies with a genuine New York presence, past the earliest stage, who will contribute to the room as well as take from it. Membership is by application and is reviewed.
