On 12 October 2026, Ayra Starr announced the Starrgirl World Tour, a 20-city run across Europe, the UK and North America between 20 January and 14 April 2027. The tour opens at Live Music Hall in Cologne and closes at The Fillmore in San Francisco. It supports her album Starrgirl, which was released in August, according to Official Charts.

The ticket sales are not released as one launch. Mastercard, Verizon and Spotify get access first, Live Nation runs the general sale for most dates, and VIP packages are sold on a separate site. Each layer has its own start time, and the sequence runs across four days, from 13 to 16 October.

The route: seven European dates, then thirteen in North America

The European leg has seven dates, starting in Cologne on 20 January and ending at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on 2 February. The other stops are Amsterdam's Melkweg, Zenith Paris, Fabrique in Milan, X-tra in Zurich and Forest National in Brussels. All seven fall within a fortnight, with two Sunday shows.

The North American leg has thirteen dates between 18 March and 14 April. It opens in Houston and Dallas, both at House of Blues, then runs through Atlanta, Silver Spring, Boston, Philadelphia and Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Paramount show on 28 March is the New York-area stop. The tour then moves north to Toronto's HISTORY and Montreal's MTELUS, before Chicago, Minneapolis and Denver, and ends at The Fillmore in San Francisco.

The Chicago date at Park West, on 1 April, is listed as a non-Live Nation date in both The FADER and BroadwayWorld. Whether the San Francisco date is also outside the Live Nation sale has not been confirmed.

Presales go to partners before the public

The North American sale opens with partner windows. BroadwayWorld lists a Verizon presale for Verizon Shine members, starting at 10am on 13 October for select shows. Verizon Shine offers experiences and daily drops, including concert and sports tickets, merchandise, dining vouchers and gift cards.

A Spotify Reserved presale opens on 13 October at 2pm local time, according to BroadwayWorld, for eligible U.S. Spotify Premium subscribers. Those subscribers are notified by Spotify and can buy up to two tickets, sold through Ticketmaster.

The sources do not agree on when the Verizon window closes. BroadwayWorld gives 10pm local time on 15 October, while The FADER says Verizon Shine members and top Spotify fans can buy until 10am local time on 16 October.

The artist presale in North America starts on 14 October at 10am local time, and general onsale follows on 16 October at the same hour, according to BroadwayWorld. The FADER gives the same general onsale time.

In Europe and the UK, the artist and Mastercard presale starts on 14 October at 10am, according to Official Charts, which gives the time in British Summer Time. Mastercard cardholders in France, Italy and Belgium get early access. Preferred ticket access in those three countries and the UK, and the general onsale, both run from 16 October at 10am local time, according to BroadwayWorld.

Live Nation runs the general sale, and VIP sits on top

Live Nation is the ticketing partner for the North American general onsale, except on the Chicago date marked as non-Live Nation. BroadwayWorld says the North American general onsale runs at LiveNation.com. BroadwayWorld also lists LiveNation.com for the Europe and UK general onsale.

VIP package details are at vipnation.com, according to BroadwayWorld. The FADER says contents vary, but packages generally include premium tickets, a post-show meet-and-greet and photo opportunity, early entry and a signed tour poster. Other extras can apply, according to the same report.

Verizon and Spotify are named in the North American presale windows, and Mastercard in the European one. Each partner is tied to a specific window and a specific group of buyers.

“None of the 20 announced dates is in Africa.”

Recorded music in Africa is a small base

The IFPI Global Music Report 2026 puts global recorded music revenue at $31.7 billion in 2025, up 6.4% on the year, according to Citizen Digital. That follows growth of 4.7% in 2024 and marks the eleventh consecutive year of growth.

Streaming made up 69.6% of recorded music revenue, with total streaming revenue above $22 billion. Paid subscription streaming alone accounted for 52.4%, from 837 million paid subscription accounts.

The figures are wholesale revenues, meaning money paid through to labels, distributors and artists. On that basis, sub-Saharan Africa's recorded music revenue reached $120 million in 2025, up 15.2% on the year.

South Africa is the largest market in the region, with 78.1% of regional revenue and 12.9% growth, according to Citizen Digital. Bizcommunity also gives South Africa a 78.1% share of the sub-Saharan market.

Other regions grew at different rates. Latin America was the fastest-growing region, up 17.1%. The Middle East and North Africa rose 15.2%, Asia 10.9% and Europe 5.6%.

Set against the global total, the regional figure is about 0.4%.

Africa is absent from the 2027 route and its ticket structure

None of the 20 announced dates is in Africa. Official Charts lists no African dates, and the 2027 run is confined to Europe, the UK and North America.

The FADER and BroadwayWorld both say Ayra Starr will return to Africa to close 2026. BroadwayWorld says more details are to come. No dates, cities or venues for that return are listed.

The sales structure is built around partners in Europe and North America. Mastercard is a presale partner in Europe, while Verizon and Spotify are presale partners in North America.

The album's labels are also part of the picture. BroadwayWorld names Mavin Records and Republic Records as the release labels for Starrgirl, which was released on 14 August. On the chart side, Official Charts reports that 'Heaven Baby', featuring ZAYN, peaked at No. 2 on the Official Afrobeats Chart.
