Methodology
We look for work that has been done rather than promise identified: something built, shipped, organised or run, with a result we can describe and verify.
Capital raised is a decision made by investors about the future. We note it; it is not by itself a qualification.
Age-bounded lists select for people who achieved early, and achieving early correlates with starting from advantage. We compensate deliberately by looking beyond the sectors that generate the most coverage — into trades, public service, care, education, small business and community institutions.
Nominations are open to anyone, including self-nominations, and there is no fee for consideration or inclusion.
Every entry is verified against sources we can point to, and subjects are offered a right of reply before publication.

Entries name real people, and every claim in one is checked against a source we can point to, so they are published when that work is done rather than to fill a page.
